Camps are scheduled throughout June, July and August and each camp runs Monday through Friday. Camps begin at 10:00 a.m. and end about 4:00 p.m. Each day includes 2 riding sessions and one ground lesson, selected according to age and ability of riders. Camp classifications (below) are tentative and subject to change. Please call for more information.

On the horse, students work at walk, trot, and canter. They may do some jumping or take a trail ride. On the ground, they may view films, take a grooming lesson, or learn how to care for tack. Basic horse "sense" is a part of all camps. Dressage/Jumping is for advanced riders and includes circle work, lateral work, transitions and putting your horse ‘on the aids’. The jumping phase includes cavaletti work, small (2-3 foot ‘gymnastic grids’), and stadium courses up to 3`6")
Bring a bag lunch (no microwaveable lunches, please)
and plenty of liquids: pop, juice, etc.
Each camp is limited to eight riders.
Cost per rider: $290 (5 percent discount for 4H and Pony Club)
GENERAL SCHEDULE
10:15 Grooming demonstration/preparing horse for lesson; learn to lead, handle and work safely around the horses.
11:00 Class ride
12:30 Lunch/demo
2:00 Groom horses for afternoon ride
2:30 Class ride
3:30 Cool horses and put up
4:00 Dismissal
Sessions will suit the level of the riders and may incude: instruction in horse/rider safety; games (for example, relay races); precision drill work; riding demonstrations; advanced grooming (for example- braiding, clipping, pulling mane, bathing); jumping; dressage; barrel racing; trail riding; tack cleaning.
